Afforestation in Badanj village

As part of "Plant a tree, raise awareness" initiative, Adriatic Metals has planted 2500 spruce seedlings

As part of "Plant a tree, raise awareness" initiative by state forestry enterprise “Srbijašume”, that has been ongoing for five years on state level, Raska Forestry Administration and Adriatic Metals Serbia organized afforestation of a 1-hectare area in the village of Badanj, location Jadovnik. Two years ago, our company decided to take part in this initiative and recently bought 2,500 spruce seedlings which we began planting today. All our employees, divided into two teams, participated in the two-day afforestation campaign.

In general, according to Raska Forestry Administration annual plan, afforestation of about 30 hectares is planned, out of which 24 hectares have already been afforested. Afforestation is also organized in cooperation with Forest Administrations of Novi Pazar and Tutin, and within a year approximately 90-100 hectares are afforested, depending on the conditions provided by a given year.

Since social responsibility is the basis of all business activities of our company, and since we have been cooperating successfully with state forestry enterprise “Srbijašume” and Raska Forestry Administration for many years, we will be happy to participate in these kinds of initiatives in the future.
